Spring Cleaning: Best Green Cleaning Products + A Simplified Cleaning Checklist

In Lifestyle + Wellness, Spring/Summer by Tori DalyLeave a Comment

The weather here in Southern NJ is supposed to start warming up this next week + I could not be more ready to get a jump start on Spring Cleaning! After being cooped up all winter {yes, I know it’s still February} these spring weather teaser days are more than welcomed because when the real warmer weather arrives we like to spend as much time outdoors as possible doing yard work, taking a hike or going on a beach walk.

Since having children, my daily weekly cleaning schedule has changed a bit + so have the type of products I turn to. There was a time when I bought every chemical cleaning agent under the sun thinking it would get my home ultra sparkly but now I realize that it’s completely unnecessary + there are safer options out there. Although I use white vinegar, baking soda, natural lemon + essential oils A LOT, there are times I like to grab a little bottle of cleaner instead of making my own. Cue the company I have been using for over a year now: Grove Collaborative.

Let me start off by saying, no, this is NOT a sponsored post…I am just so in love with this company that I cannot stop recommending it! I stumbled upon Grove Collaborative through a few Instagram users I followed + signed up with them because there was a great deal on a Mrs. Meyer’s Orange + Clove cleaning set {it was AMAZING!}. From that moment on this company has been my go-to for purchasing hard-to-find green cleaning products at a reasonable price…sometimes cheaper than in the store.

And what’s better than offering products that are hard to come by? Grove’s commitment to a healthier lifestyle + Earth as well as giving back to selected organizations {this week for every Grove brand product sold they are donating 10% to breast cancer research}. Supporting a company with such social + environmental stewardship is a no-brainer in my book!

Now that I’ve controlled my gushing over this exemplary company, I thought I’d share some of the products I purchase on the regular as well as what’s on my wish list. You can also grab a FREE Simplified Spring Cleaning Checklist I created HERE to help you get a start on your own spring cleaning! And if you use my referral link HERE you can get $10 off your first order {and I’ll get $10 towards my own purchases…win-win!}

PRODUCTS I LOVE:

My go-to for everyday + deep cleaning products is Seventh Generation. We use their dish soap, dishwasher liquid + rinse-aid and bathroom + toilet cleaner. They are so effective + don’t have any of the harsh smells or crazy colors…all clear here!

The Mrs. Meyer’s all-purpose sprays are really good {just purchased the Mighty Mint spray from Grove} but I really love the Caldrea Ginger Pomelo counter top spray scent. It’s so fresh + uplifting! For a deep clean I still suggest vinegar + baking soda but using this spray afterward will help cut down on that overwhelming vinegar smell.

And who doesn’t love cute cleaning accessories? Grove’s Bubble Up dish scrubber + glass spray bottles {Yay! No plastic!} add a bit of sophistication to your cleaning arsenal. While you’re at it, grab one of their soy candles; they last forever + have the most amazing scent. I had the orange + cardamom one during the fall + it was still burning it in January! Try a fresh spring scent like Eucalyptus Spearmint or Blood Orange to energize your senses.

Finally, here are a few items on my wish list…
