Now that the sun seems to be making more steady appearances it’s time to start thinking about sun protection. While we all should be wearing SPF + sunglasses everyday, it took me a long time to realize that polarized sunglasses are far more superior than non-polarized. Polarized lenses cut down on sun glare, helping to protect eyes from straining + temporary blindness {not to mention, wrinkles…eek!} When shopping for sunglasses, look for polarized ones that also have 100% UV protection. Exposure of harmful UV rays to eyes can lead to cataracts, skin cancer on eyelids {or even ocular melanoma}.
Looking back at how much time I have spent in the sun + NOT worn polarized sunglasses, they are now a MUST! My eyesight is terrible + I need to protect what I still have.
