Classic + Casual Spring Capsule Wardrobe

My love for spring clothes is right up there with fall clothing for me because I love transitional pieces that can be layered depending on the weather situation, which right now in the Northeast has been crazy! We’ve had two nor’easters with snow in the past week + just a week or so before that I was beginning to plan my spring capsule wardrobe. But despite the weather I will continue thinking spring!

Since spring is a time to lighten up in both fabric + color it can be a bit tricky in the color /print department for me because I don’t tend to lean toward pastels except for the occasional blush pink + practically avoid florals like the plague. What I do love is lots of navy + white {especially in stripes} because these are colors that I can use throughout summer + even in the fall. As for prints, stripes + leopard have my heart. Overall, classic + casual is usually the way I go with any capsule wardrobe because I’m a momma on the go but also want to look somewhat put together. Lots of times this is not the case, like when I have dried mac n’ cheese on my sleeve. But that won’t keep me from trying to look decent in my downtime. Fake it ’til ya make it, right?
